(English) Spileo Grevena – Portitsa Gorge

(Ελληνικά) Το τοπίο άγριο επιβλητικό και καθηλωτικό. Το ποτάμι κυλάει ήσυχα δίπλα μας, το δάσος σκεπάζει σχεδόν τα πάντα και τα βράχια σαν πρωτόγονα αγάλματα μαζί με μεγάλες ποταμίσιες κοτρώνες είναι φυτεμένα παντού. Η απαιτητική πορεία μας ολοκληρώνεται όταν βλέπουμε λίγο μακρύτερα το ανατολικό άκρο του φαραγγιού της Πορτίτσας και μπροστά μας τα δυο ποτάμια να συναντιούνται σαν δυο υδάτινοι δρόμοι .

(English) Tymfi Mountain- Drakolimni

(English) We continue the hard ascent and in a little while the uphill relaxes and we see in front of us one of the most beautiful images of the Greek mountains. The Drakolimni of Tymfi. We lie down on the soft grass, exhausted , to rest for a while, before we start the strolling, since we all want to explore the place. The big cliff on the east side overlooking the whole gorge of Aoos, the almost permanent small glacier on the south side, the stunning view of the summits, the small flowers in the meadow that surrounds the lake, are images that do not easily leave the mind.

(English) North Olympus mountain – Papa Stream

(English) With great caution we pass over the rocks (there is a signal on the rock from where we have to start) going to the opposite bank. The path is clear and shows us its intensions from the very beginning, as it is quite steep. Of course in the one and a half hour that we need to get to “Krevatia”, there are mild spots and passes but in general we gain altitude very fast. We realize this when, after about an hour, we see the banks of the stream hanging 500 meters below our feet.
