During trekking, but also in camp site, various accidents might happen. So it is a must, to have a first aid kit with us. In addition to the basic ingredients described below, be sure to consult your doctor if you require specialized treatment and inform the rest of the group about it. The first aid kit should be packed in a small flexible waterproof bag, with special label on it (preferably red small bag with a cross) and should be kept away from high temperatures, humidity and children. For the pills, you don’t have to take the whole box with you but use a small carton from their packaging. For liquids, place them in very small plastic vials, if the original packaging is too big and label them so not to be confused.
You should also check the expiration dates of your medications and take advices from your doctor about their usage (e.g. Dosage).
