It is more an uphill road than a path. It is a deserted forest road, which has a spectacular view of the basin and Hymettus. To get to the beginning of the route, from Old Penteli Square you must take the road to Dionysos and Nea Makri (by car). Outside the settlement of Old Penteli you will turn right and after 1 km you will find on your left an uphill earth road and a big sign. Follow the passable earth road for about 600 meters and at the crossroad (1st crossroad) that you will meet you will see a sign to Agii Asomati chapel. Continue your route on the uphill forest road, which will soon, becomes inaccessible for cars, so you will have to leave your car too. The road continues intensely uphill and at 1300 meters (about 30 minutes) you will see a crossroad (2nd crossrad), which leads to Kefalovryso right. There, you will take the left route. Now you are crossing the last section of the route and after 2 to 3  Damaria (marble quarries) you will see on the opposite slope ,  the chapel  in 800 m altitude ( the location is called Kamari).

The chapel is a late-Byzantine monument of the late 14th and early 15th century. It is a small basilica which is built in gray slate. Below the Holy Doors, there are two Byzantine marble columns, while in the walls there are excellent frescoes. On the south side of the church, two rooms with a fireplace are built. in this area, the hikers find shelter, as the place is in very good condition.

The last 500 meters are flat and you will have the opportunity to observe the mountain and the Attica plain up to Parnitha. At the chapel you will be able to relax and enjoy the wonderful view. A centennial plane tree is in front of the chapel and the most daring, can try to use the huge swing hanging from the tall branches. There is also a small spring where, depending on the season, you will find water. For returning, you must take the same route in the opposite direction and go downhill to the 2nd crossroad and from there to Old Penteli.
